1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all online bookings and transport services provided by Ride Now (Pty) Ltd (“Ride Now”, “we”, “us”, “our”) through our website www.ride-now.co.za (“Website”).
1.2 By making an online booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Website or services.
1.4 These Terms must be read together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.


2. Our Services

2.1 Ride Now provides chauffeur-driven transport services in and around Cape Town.
2.2 All bookings include a vehicle and professional driver. Clients are not permitted to drive any Ride Now vehicle.
2.3 Our services include private transfers, airport shuttles, hourly hires, day tours, and other chauffeured transport options as listed on our Website.
2.4 Vehicle availability, specifications, and features are subject to change depending on demand and operational requirements.


3. Online Bookings & Payments

3.1 Bookings are made online via our Website.
3.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
3.3 Payments are securely processed via [insert payment gateway name, e.g., PayFast, PayGate, Peach Payments] in South African Rand (ZAR).
3.4 All prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) unless otherwise stated.
3.5 You will receive a booking confirmation email once your payment has been successfully processed.
3.6 Ride Now does not store or have access to your full credit or debit card details — all transactions are encrypted and processed by our secure payment partner.


4. Cancellations & Refunds (Customer-Initiated)

4.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing to bookings@ride-now.co.za.
4.2 To qualify for a refund, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
4.3 Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time are non-refundable.
4.4 In the event of a no-show, where the client fails to appear at the pick-up location without prior notice, no refund will be issued.
4.5 For approved cancellations (those made 48+ hours in advance), Ride Now will deduct a 15% processing and transaction fee from the total paid amount before issuing the refund.
4.6 Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
4.7 Refunds will not be made in cash under any circumstances.


5. Cancellations & Changes by Ride Now

5.1 Ride Now reserves the right to cancel or amend any booking in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as vehicle breakdown, driver illness, severe weather, or operational disruptions.
5.2 If Ride Now cancels your booking, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative service of equal value.
5.3 Our liability in such cases is limited to refunding the amount paid for the affected booking.


6. Passenger Conduct & Safety

6.1 All passengers must behave responsibly and follow the driver’s instructions at all times.
6.2 Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers in accordance with South African traffic laws.
6.3 Smoking, alcohol consumption, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.
6.4 The driver has the right to terminate a trip immediately if passenger behaviour endangers safety or violates these Terms.
6.5 Passengers will be held responsible for any damage, cleaning costs, or repair fees caused to the vehicle through negligence or misconduct.


7. Delays & Waiting Time

7.1 While we strive to ensure punctuality, Ride Now cannot be held liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen events.
7.2 If passengers delay departure by more than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled pick-up time, additional waiting time fees may apply.
7.3 Ride Now accepts no liability for missed flights, events, or appointments due to delays outside our control.


8. Liability & Insurance

8.1 All Ride Now vehicles and drivers are fully licensed and insured in compliance with South African law.
8.2 Our liability is limited to direct losses resulting from proven negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to missed flights, accommodation costs, or loss of income.
8.3 Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. Ride Now is not liable for any items lost or left behind in vehicles.


9. Privacy & Data Protection

9.1 We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
9.2 Information collected during booking is used solely for processing and managing your reservation.
9.3 Payment details are processed securely by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
9.4 You may request correction or deletion of your personal data by contacting privacy@ride-now.co.za.


10. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, images, text, and media on the Ride Now website are the property of Ride Now (Pty) Ltd and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without written consent.


11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be handled by the competent courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
